Focast uses Apple’s iCloud Drive to sync your timers, sound mixes, focus sessions, and statistics across your devices. All data stays inside your personal iCloud account. Your data belongs to you alone. iCloud simply keeps everything up to date.
How to enable iCloud sync
iCloud sync is enabled by default. As long as iCloud Drive is active on your Mac, Focast syncs automatically.
You can confirm the current sync status directly from the Focast right-click menu: Preferences → iCloud Status.
To verify iCloud Drive is on: System Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Drive → Apps syncing to iCloud Drive.

Custom timers
Sound mixes
Focus sessions and timelines
Daily stats, streaks
Everything syncs quietly in the background. No manual action required.
Troubleshooting
Most sync issues can be resolved by checking:
You’re signed into the same Apple ID on all devices.
iCloud Drive is enabled for Focast: System Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Drive → Apps syncing to iCloud Drive.
A stable network connection.
Enough iCloud storage.
